a well written show about the best of people. the best and how understanding humans can be. a future where all conflicts are not relevant. where a captain like Picard can sit down with any body and work shit out with wisdom and experience, with out shock and awe bullshit.
maybe we go into the future reading the works of ghandi and MLK and great poets of peace and build a future from that? lets build a soceity out of peaceful minds instead of political rhetoric and bureaucratic bullshit. lets take basic human goodness and create the future out of that. will it ever happen in our life time? fuck no. we are doomed and horrid death will greet us all into the great blackness. but what star trek says is that we can do better. all of us can if we take the fucking time and put our own ignorance away…
